        Liver, which is located in the abdominal cavity, is one of the largest organs in the body. The vital organs are reddish brown in color and weighs about 1.5 kilograms.          Failure to diagnose signs of tumors can damage the liver and lead to liver failure, which can be life-threatening. Therefore, a routine visit to a health care provider is a must, which will help diagnose the disorder before it's too late. Occasionally, tumors may grow so large that it can be felt as a swelling in the abdomen. MRI scans can reveal the exact location of the tumor and biopsy may help detect tumor properties. Chemotherapy and radiation are used to destroy cancer cell growth. In some cases, when the condition is serious, then the patient may have to undergo a liver transplant surgery, which can increase the life expectancy of patients.
