A urogram ( also known as intravenous pyelogram ) can also be used to diagnose bladder cancer ( In urogram , the patient is injected with a special type of die , which is then removed from the blood by the kidneys . Dying is then examined by X - ray scanning to determine any abnormalities ) . Along with the above mentioned techniques , CT scans , MRI scans and a few more techniques such as ultrasound imaging , and urine -based tests are used to diagnose bladder cancer .

Treatment

Drugs can be used to destroy the remaining infected cells and help patients regain strength after surgery . Types and combinations of the various treatment options to be followed will be determined by the physician based on the stage of the cancer and the complexity involved .

For patients with early stage bladder cancer , Transuretral resection ( TUR ) can also be used by a variety of parameters . In this technique , the tumor in the bladder wall is removed using a resectoscope .

However , there are certain side effects of various treatment options such as the destruction of cells that are not infected after radiotherapy , the patient may experience sluggishness due to the high power drugs , etc. It is very important to pay attention to the patient's diet and taking the right medicine after cancer treatment .
